To fuse a sample, we need the following equipment:
- Automatic fusion machine
- Platinum ware consisting of a crucible and a mould, possibly a lid
- Flux
- Finely ground sample
- Anti-wetting agent and possibly other additives
- Analytical balance or automatic weighing system
