Statistics in XRF
This course focuses on the statistics required for quality control in XRF analysis. It provides general insight into what is necessary to get an XRF method under control. Important statistical terms are clarified, sources of error are explained, and information on how to identify and correct these errors is presented.
The first part is dealing with the basics in XRF statistics. Important terms like Repeatability and Reproducibility are explained and basic calculation are presented. The next part focusses on Quality Control in the laboratory and describes how checklists can be used to identify errors. Error Propagation is the last part of the course in which all the possible erros are described and summed up to the total error. |
